Our Next Chamber Quarterly

Barton County Ambulance District
How to become a Destination City, working together to effectively market our assets. With tourism entities and Businesses that want to create unique niches and WOW Factors to attract visitors to our community!
Since January, the Barton County Chamber has been working with our other tourism entities on how to promote our county more effectively. From the creation of the 2024-2025 Community Guide that takes readers on a journey through our county, to brainstorming sessions with local and regional tourism groups.
There are some very exciting things coming up in 2026 in the state of Missouri that will bring in visitors from around the world. It is time for us to prepare now, to attract those visitors to our community that summer.
The City of Lamar, the County and Lamar Heights hosted a special speaker in June to inspire our business community to “think creatively” on how they could become destination businesses.
During this quarterly breakfast you will hear from the Chamber and other businesses about how “out of town visitors” can be and are currently driving force to the economic health of our community.
